Zzzzzs

The oldest and the youngest passed out on the couch. It is so sweet. Life can be hard and exhausting sometimes, but thank goodness for the fact that we can sleep and rejuvinate ourselves!
This weekend Paul's family was in town and we all played hard! We played and played and I don't think we went to sleep before 1:30a.m. (the kids were more like 9p.m.)! Today we had everyone over for dinner and then everyone went back home, Paul left to visit with his parents for a little while and I had bedtime duty. First it was Owen. Then it was Naomi. Then Luke. Then Koby. I rocked each one of my children to sleep- for the first time in a very long time. As Koby (the last one) fell asleep in my arms, I held him and thought of the great privilege it is that death will never have a hold on my eternal family. That came at an awful price, but it is the greatest thing I know. My home and my heart filled with reverance tonight for the small and mighty miracles of which I am eternally humbled.

Sounds like you had a busy night of bedtime duty. I find this exhausts me, but, like you, it is a great time for reflection and thanks about those crazy muchkins we are blessed with.
