How do say "Cheese" and "Brrrrr" at the same time? It's possible. Here we are at the Draper temple open house. We went at-- oh, sunrise on a lovely Saturday morning. The kids loved being able to go inside and see where the locker rooms are. Yes, the locker rooms. Koby's exact words... "Dad, this is where you change into white clothes! Wow! And this is where I will change into white clothes one day?! Wow." That was the room that got the most commentary. My favorites were the endowment room covered in painted groves of aspen trees in spring and the bridal room with an amazing embossed carpet and tons of light pouring in. As you go into the temple there is a large window overlooking the amazing baptismal font and the celestial room is beautiful with natural light cascading over the 20 foot long chandelier and down the 40 foot ceiling. With all of its architectural features, the greatest aspect of the temple is the myriad of paintings of the Savior. These remind me at every turn that it is His house. He has made all of this work possible and given all of this life purpose. We were so grateful to go to the temple together and share our testimonies with our children.
