With this new year come many resolutions! By the way, the Chinese New Year begins on February 7th which is oh so helpful for procrastinators, but only if your Chinese-American. And I am not, so this does not help me. Anyway, one of my resolutions is to be more techno savvy and so... here I am creating a blog! For some of you a good laugh is in order for my prehistoric ways- ok, you can stop laughing now- no, really. But I am learning, even if it is reluctantly. I vow to not let this experiment end like every other, "I will be better at writing in my journal" resolution. In other words, this will not be the only entry come 2009.

To start us off, our family enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Eve and a great Christmas day! Koby, Luke and Naomi slept in until almost 9:00 am, which is a record in our house- Merry Christmas Paul and Sarah! We started unwrapping gifts the first week of December, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Aaron and continued until Christmas Day thanks to Santa and Grandma and Grandpa Hilbig.

I was listening to our Church service on Sunday, right before Christmas, and the talks were wonderful. The speakers commented on how people need to focus on giving and keep the same spirit throughout the year (see, that lesson is always wonderful). I thought to myself, "For every person who receives a gift, there is a person who gives a gift." And I began to be so very grateful for the people who have given me gifts of friendship, time, love and posessions. I pray that there is someone giving them the gifts they need and want. I hope and pray that 2008 brings more opportunities for me and my family to provide love, friendship and kindness to others. THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND GIFTS! You are truly a blessing to our life and we love you!

(Well, if this is the first and last entry, that ain't half bad!)
